MEET THE FOUNDER & HEAD COACH

DON ORTON

Over 20 years experience playing, coaching, being a team owner, and now the owner of Orton Lineman Academy.

Coach Don, a Timberline High School graduate (1999), has extensive experience in football. He played semi-pro/minor league football for the Washington Cavaliers (2000-2008) and led the Grays Harbor Bearcats (2009-2017) as owner, coach, and player. From 2017 to 2021, Coach Don coached the offensive line at Timberline High School and has over 10 years of youth coaching experience in BHJFL and TCYFL. Certified in Offensive Line Performance and Body Tempering, Don focuses on holistic player development, emphasizing biomechanics, recovery, and preparation. His detail-oriented approach ensures continuous improvement in both himself and his players.

Coach Donnie isn't your average coach who's only there to coach your kid because you're paying him to. He's a coach that sees not only potential in your kid but sees pieces of himself in each kid and try's to help your kid get to where they want to be in the future. He's played a major role on my career and helped me make a comeback to the football scene and with his help I made all league Oline for my first year playing high school ball. If anyone is to ask if he's the real deal there's no need to just trust him and his process and you'll see the results.
